Journey Stories brings celebrity chef Ron Duprat to the Blake Library April 11

Friday April 11 in the John F. Armstrong Wing of the Blake Library at 11am, celebrity chef Ron Duprat will give an inspirational and informative presentation on the limitless possibilities of cooking, titled “My Journey of Cooking.” This event is in partnership with Journey Stories.

Chef Duprat, known as a fierce competitor on season six of Bravo’s “Top Chef,” is an expert in exotic flavors, a restaurateur, and the author of My Journey of Cooking. Duprat is affiliated with many organizations that contribute to communities and people all over the world including, American Culinary Federation, Real Men Charities, Inc., Black Culinarian Alliance, No Hungry Kids, the College of Culinary Arts in Miami, First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! Campaign, and Basil Magazine’s Chef Council. Ron is a well-seasoned executive Chef, having cooked for varying establishments such as the Pelican Bay Foundation and the Montauk Yacht Club. He has cemented himself as an expert in exotic flavors—often incorporating his own Haitian Creole influences with French-Asian Fusion cuisine.
