Affordable Care Act presentations explaining what you need to know available at all Martin County libraries

Confused about the Affordable Care Act (ACA)? Visit any of the six libraries throughout the Martin County Library System (MCLS) for Affordable Care Act: What You Need To Know. Key components of the ACA will be clarified, consumers will learn why it is important and how it will work to their benefit. Everyone now qualifies for health insurance. Each one-hour presentation is free and open to the public.

• Oct. 15 – 1:00 pm – Hoke Library, 1150 NW Jack Williams Way, Jensen Beach
• Oct. 22 – 1:00 pm – Peter & Julie Cummings Library, 2551 SW Matheson Ave, Palm City
• Oct. 29 – 11:00 am – Blake Library, 2351 SE Monterey Rd, Stuart
• Nov. 5 – 1:00 pm – Robert Morgade Library, 5851 SE Community Dr, Stuart
• Nov. 12 – 6:00 pm – Hobe Sound Public Library, 10595 SE Federal Hwy, Hobe Sound
• Nov. 16 – 11:00 am – Blake Library, 2351 SE Monterey Rd, Stuart
• Dec. 10  – 11:00 am – Elisabeth Lahti Library, 15200 SW Adams Ave, Indiantown

MCLS will provide information to consumers choosing affordable health insurance options through the federally-funded Health Insurance Marketplace. Open enrollment begins October 1 and health insurance coverage begins January 1, 2014. 

Martin County Library System staff  are not trained or licensed to provide advice or assistance in selecting a specific health plan, but can provide information and direction to public resources about the Affordable Care Act that will help consumers make informed healthcare decisions.
