Want to make a difference in the community but don’t know how? Look no further than the Martin County Library System (MCLS). Visit MCLS’ first-ever Volunteer Fair on Saturday, October 5 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the Blake Library, 2351 SE Monterey Road, Stuart.

Suzanne Dowd has been with the library system since 1999. She’s recorded over 1,700 volunteer service hours during that time.

Attendees will speak with representatives from American Red Cross, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach and Martin counties, Elliott Museum, Habitat for Humanity, House of Hope, Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, Martin County Library System, Safe Harbor, YMCA and many more. Volunteer opportunities are available to high school students and adults.

“The Volunteer Fair is an exciting event for us to host,” said MCLS Volunteer Coordinator Terry Dick. “We are making a difference by connecting potential volunteers with these great organizations along the Treasure Coast.”
House of Hope’s Volunteer Manager Kelly McIntyre said, “We are thrilled to partner with the Martin County Library System. Volunteers are the heart of House of Hope’s four service centers, including the food pantries and thrift stores. We rely on this wonderful team to keep things running smoothly in all areas.”
