The Elisabeth Lahti Library, located at 15200 SW Adams Avenue in Indiantown, is host to the third film in the six-part Journey Stories Film Festival series on Friday, July 12 at 1:30 pm. This animated western film depicts mice on a trek west in search of a new life.

Each of the six films illustrates a theme featured in the traveling Smithsonian exhibit, Museum on Main Street: Journey Stories, and details the journeys and migrations of people trekking to and across America seeking freedom, opportunity, land, wealth or adventure. Free and open to the public, there will be one film shown at each library location.

This presentation, one of several Journey Stories events, is brought to you by a grant received from the Florida Humanities Council, to complement the Museum on Main Street: Journey Stories traveling exhibition presented by the Smithsonian Museum. The exhibit will be on display at the Elisabeth Lahti Library October 19 through November 30. Eighteen months of events exploring Journey Stories themes will take place at Martin County libraries leading up to and immediately following the Smithsonian exhibit.
