Mad Science of Palm Beach presents Dig Into Science, a one-hour interactive performance for children, on Saturday, June 8 at three Martin County community libraries. Sponsored by the Friends of the Martin County Library System, Inc., the events are free and open to the public.

Show-times on June 8 are as follows:
• 11:00 a.m. Peter & Julie Cummings Library, 2551 S.W. Matheson Ave., Palm City

• 2:00 p.m. Hobe Sound Public Library, 10595 S.E. Federal Hwy., Hobe Sound

• 4:00 p.m. Blake Library, 2351 S.E. Monterey Road, Stuart

These events are designed to get kids excited about the science that happens underneath the ground. From the layers of the earth, to the critters that live in the soil, to natural phenomena that occur underground, children are going to discover amazing things by digging deep!

Mad Science encourages scientific literacy in children by creating hands-on science programming. Their approach to teaching invites children to pursue careers in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) field.
