Join combat veterans of the United States Marines, and other armed services branches, as they detail the infamous Tet Offensive on Tuesday, May 21 at 10:00 a.m. in the John F. Armstrong Wing of the Blake Library, 2351 S.E. Monterey Road, Stuart. The event is free and open to the public. Please note – the initially-scheduled date of May 22 was published in the May Library Connection, but the event has since been moved up one day to May 21.

Organized by LCpl Justin J. Wilson Detachment 1045 of the Marine Corps League, veterans will provide eyewitness testimony and engage in a question and answer session with the audience following documentary film footage on the Vietnam War. The documentary covers the surprise countrywide enemy attacks of January 30, 1968, that took place during the sacred and peaceful Vietnamese New Year celebration known as Tet. Launched against military and civilian commands and control centers throughout South Vietnam, the surprise attacks occurred during an agreed-upon ceasefire period.
