Hear street corner harmony at its best with singing group Sha-Boom on Friday, April 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hoke Library, 1150 NW Jack Williams Way, Jensen Beach. Founded and led by Sal Giarraffa, Sha-Boom sings both a cappella and with musical accompaniment, performing Doo-wop standards and hits from the 1950s to the 1970s. Sponsored by the Friends of the Martin County Library System, Inc., free tickets are required and available for pickup at the Hoke Library beginning April 16. Limit 2.

Sha-Boom is comprised of Giarraffa, Guy Tann, John Iaci and David Valpatic. Though the music is rehearsed, the performance itself is improvised, with the group inserting jokes and stories throughout. Giarraffa is one of the original members of Brooklyn’s legendary Doo-wop group, the Arrogants.
