Feb. 7 Indian Riverkeeper event with Marty Baum canceled

Indian Riverkeeper Marty Baum,” the Belle Glade Culture event previously scheduled for Thursday, February 7 at 2:00 p.m. at the Robert Morgade Library in Stuart is canceled due to an unavoidable conflict.

The talk is one of several Belle Glade Culture events for adults and children sponsored by the Friends of the Martin County Library System, Inc., to complement the We Were Here Viva Florida 500 traveling exhibition presented by the Lawrence E. Will Museum: A Museum of the Belle Glades, on display March 4-23 at the Robert Morgade Library located at 5851 S.E. Community Drive on the Chastain Campus of Indian River State College, Stuart. 

Next in the Belle Glade Culture series of events for adults will be “Skeletal Biology of the Belle Glade People” presented by Katie Smith 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 20 and “Prehistoric Use of Fire” with Dr. Rachel Wentz 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 28 (more information forthcoming).
