For immediate release:  November 21, 2012
Contact:  Susan Opasik, Martin County Library System, Public Relations, 772-463-2863

Join us Saturday, December 1 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the John F. Armstrong Wing of the Blake Library, 2351 SE Monterey Road, Stuart, for “Playing with Books,” a workshop that explores basic techniques for altering books. Just in time for the holidays, re-imagine retired books into ornaments and seasonal objects for decorating or gift-giving.

Bring your imagination and a few supplies if you wish. We will have a selection of paperback and hardcover books available. Basic supplies for the crafts will provided. If you have cutting mats, craft knives and retired books you can bring your own to work with.

This free workshop is suitable for teens and adults.
