Couple describes surviving near-death trauma Nov. 10 at Blake Library

Peg Helm and Joan Hoffpauir will present “Surviving Near-death Trauma” on Saturday, November 10 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the John F. Armstrong Wing of the Blake Library, 2351 S.E. Monterey Road in Stuart.

Free and open to the public, the talk is part of the Living History: Ordinary People, Extraordinary Stories (LHOPES) series developed by Indian River State College history professor Robert R. Farley for students and community guests.

Peg Helm, who experienced paralysis and head trauma, and double cancer survivor Joan Hoffpauir will relate their courageous comebacks to normal living following life-altering health issues. Their talk will be an inspiration to all.
