Learn how to grow and cook with herbs and spices from Master Gardener Rosemary Caspary Oct. 25, Nov. 9

Rosemary (Rose) Caspary, MS, RD, LDN, will present an illustrated talk, “Herbs & Spices: Cooking & Growing,” from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 25 in the John F. Armstrong Wing of the Blake Library, 2351 S.E. Monterey Road, Stuart and Friday, November 9 in the Community Room of the Hoke Library, 1150 N.W. Jack Williams Way, Jensen Beach. Free and open to the public, the talks are sponsored by the University of Florida/IFAS Martin County Master Gardeners, in cooperation with the Martin County Library System. 

Master Gardener and Registered Dietitian Rosemary Caspary will show you how to grow and cook with herbs and spices. Rose will focus on plants best suited to grow here in south Florida. You’ll leave with new and exciting healthy cooking ideas packed with more flavor and aroma.

Rose provides a view of nutrition from both conventional and alternative healing, having worked in the field of nutrition in the areas of private practice, dialysis, the developmentally disabled, and in a health club. She grows a multitude of herbs, spices, tropical fruit, and vegetables and gives tours of her mainly edible garden.
