Library system’s new learning tool, Universal Class™, offers over 500 online continuing education courses

Martin County Library System (MCLS) announces that beginning August 27, MCLS users will have access to over 500 online continuing education courses through a new online learning tool called Universal Class™. Topics include arts and photography, alternative medicine, business, office skills, crafts, pet and animal care, home and garden, teacher tools, web development, writing help, self help, homeschooling and more. Each course offers a certificate of completion when finished. Get ready to learn something new! Register at

Quick Facts about Universal Class™:
• You will need a current Martin County Library System account and have a valid e-mail address to create a Universal Class account to sign up for courses.
• You are welcome to enroll in up to 5 courses.
• You have up to 6 months to finish each course.
• You have access to your course 24/7 via the Internet.
• Attend class and do assignments on your schedule.
• Each course has a real instructor who you may communicate with using e-mail.

• These are non-credit courses and are provided for your personal enrichment. These courses are not intended to be a substitute for any state, government, licensing, or educational requirements.
