Children can learn the truth about bats and see specimens at Hoke Library August 1

Bat Conservation International and the Hobe Sound Nature Center will present “Bats: Myth and Reality” on Wednesday, August 1 at 2:00 p.m. in the Community Room of the Hoke Library, 1150 N.W. Jack Williams Way, Jensen Beach 34957, as part of Martin County Library System’s Children’s Summer Reading Program.

Learn about the importance and ecology of bats, unloved and misunderstood by many.  Find out why they are disappearing, hear truths rather than myths and take a close look at the different species found around the world.

Funded by the Friends of the Hoke Library in Jensen Beach, Inc., the event is free and open to children entering grades K-5.  Pre-registration is not needed.
