Mystery Writer Challenge Begins July 10 at Hobe Sound Public Library

Mystery lovers are invited to take part in Mystery Writer Challenge 2012 at the Hobe Sound Public Library, 10595 S.E. Federal Highway, Hobe Sound.  Stop by the library beginning July 10 and pick up your quiz to play!

The Mystery Writer Challenge starts off with a map of the United States, with flags denoting only the locale of a writer’s character.  The challenge is to discover how well you know the great big world of mystery writers—where their stories are set and facts about the main character.  Only writers whose stories are set in the United States are included in the contest.

The program concludes Tuesday, August 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Hobe Sound Public Library’s Mystery Night with a game of “Who Am I?” in which everyone attending wears an author’s name on his or her back and guesses the author’s identity by asking other players.  There also will be a key to the quiz in order to see how well players have done in the Challenge.  Refreshments will be served.

Free and open to the public and funded by the Friends of the Hobe Sound Library, Inc., the August 7 event is part of Martin County Library System’s “Between the Covers” Adult Summer Reading Program.  Attending Mystery Night or any other special Adult Summer Reading Program event at Martin County community libraries will qualify you to be registered for a prize at a drawing held August 13.

For details pick up an Adult Summer Reading Flier/Summer Reading Log at any Martin County community library, visit the library website at or call 772-221-1403.
