Cummings Library Digital Literacy Lab Series Continues with June 20 Genealogy/Technology Program

As part of the Cummings Library’s continuing Digital Literacy Lab Series, Martin County Genealogical Society member Walt Bruetsch will present “Genealogy and Technology” Wednesday, June 20 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Donahue Room of the library, located at 2551 S.W. Matheson Road, Palm City.  Co-sponsored by the Martin County Genealogical Society in partnership with the Martin County Library System, the event is free and open to the public.  No tickets or reservations are needed.  

The intent of the program will be to show how computer technology is used to do genealogical research, starting with the databases provided by the Martin County Library System, then expanding to the various websites used for genealogy.  The talk also will touch briefly on DNA technology and its uses in genealogical research.
