Curious Moon Puppet Theatre to Perform June 9 at Cummings Library

As part of Martin County Library System’s Children’s Summer Reading Program, Curious Moon Puppets, based in Brunswick, Ga., will present “Tessa’s Tree,” a 40-minute show for children of all ages using traditional homemade hand and rod puppets,  Saturday, June 9 at 11:00 a.m. in the Donahue Room of the Cummings Library, 2551 SW Matheson Avenue, Palm City. Funding is provided by the six MCLS Friends groups and advertising provided by the Library Foundation of Martin County. No tickets or reservations are needed. The event is free and open to the public.

“Tessa’s Tree” is the story of a little tree who has big dreams and learns to appreciate the best within himself thanks to the help of the little girl who loves him. This tale of discovering one’s own, unique gifts is highlighted by comic forest characters and catchy music. The show is followed by a demonstration speech about the puppets and puppeteering.
