Lawrence Crary of Treasure Coast Astronomical Society to Present

 “A Tour of the Universe”

at Robert Morgade Library June 7

Martin County Library System will hold six special events, funded by the six MCLS Friends Groups, throughout the library system as part of its adult summer reading program, Between the Covers.  The second, “A Tour of the Universe,” takes place Thursday, June 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the Anderson Community Room of the Robert Morgade Library, 5851 SE Community Drive, IRSC Chastain Campus, Stuart 34997.

Take a tour from Earth to the farthest reaches of the known universe with Lawrence Crary, Vice-President of the Treasure Coast Astronomical Society, as he presents a visual trip through our solar system, galaxy and beyond with world-class astronomy photographs from the Hubble Space Telescope.  See and learn about moons, planets, asteroids, stars, nebula, galaxies and the beginning of time and space (the “Big Bang”).  The one-hour Power Point presentation will be followed by a Q & A session.

Attending “A Tour of the Universe” or any of the other special Adult Summer Reading Program events scheduled at Martin County community libraries through August 7 will qualify you to be registered for a prize at a drawing held August 13.  Events are free and open to the public.  For details pick up an Adult Summer Reading flier/Summer Reading Log at any Martin County Library, visit the library website at or call (772) 221-1403.
