Dr. Peter Pertis to Present His Final Concert of the Season March 10 at Blake Library

WHAT:    “The Beauty of Classical Piano,” Part Four
                      Presented by Dr. Peter Pertis

Internationally acclaimed Hungarian pianist Dr. Peter Pertis will present his final concert of the season in a four-part music series underwritten by Elisabeth Lahti, “The Beauty of Classical Piano,” 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10 at the Blake Library in Stuart. 

Dr. Pertis will play selections by Chopin, Debussy, Liszt and Mozart. There will be no intermission.

The one-hour concert is free but tickets are required and may be obtained at the Blake Library Circulation desk beginning March 5. There is a limit of two tickets per person, please. Telephone reservations will not be accepted.

Dr. Peter Pertis was born in Budapest, Hungary. He was awarded both his Master and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from the prestigious Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest, Hungary. Dr. Pertis was a Professor of Piano at the Franz Liszt Academy of Budapest, Visiting Artist/Professor at the Musashino Music Academy, Tokyo, Japan and Visiting Artist/Professor at the Hartt School of Music, University of Hartford, CT.

Over the past ten to fifteen years Dr. Pertis has considerably reduced his public appearances. He divides his time between Budapest, Hungary, and Stuart, FL. For more information on Dr. Pertis, please visit http://www.peterpertis.com.
