Hobe Sound Artist Pat Dews to Present Slide Show of Her Paintings Jan. 17 at Hobe Sound Public Library

Artist Pat Dews to present illustrated talk on her paintings

at Hobe Sound Public Library


WHO:                    The Friends of the Hobe Sound Library, Inc.

WHAT:                 Artist Pat Dews, AWS, NWS

Hobe Sound resident Pat Dews—author, painter and teacher—will present a one-hour slide show of her paintings in many stages, including finished pieces. 


The audience will get a look into how an artist thinks and works as Pat shares where she gets her ideas, and what she does with them. 


A graduate of The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, Pat is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, the National Collage Society, the National Association of Women Artists and New Jersey Water Color Society.


An award-winning artist, Pat teaches national and international workshops.  She is the author of [the painter’s workshop] Creative Composition & Design, 2003, and Creative Discoveries in Watermedia, 1998, published by North Light Books.  Her work has appeared in numerous books and publications. Dews’ videos Designing Great Starts With Texture and Form and Let’s Get Started Finishing are available through Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff.
