Tickets for Jan. 13 Classical Guitar Concert Available at Hoke Library Beginning Jan. 10

WHAT:                 Classical Guitar Concert Series – Concert Three: 

An Evening of Spanish Music

Performed by Rowdy Carlton and Jan Wissmuller

 

Martin County Library System continues its partnership with the Treasure Coast Classical Guitar Society in presenting classical guitar concerts at several of its libraries with “An Evening of Spanish Music,” the third concert in the five-part series, 6:30 p.m. Jan. 13 at the Hoke Library, 1150 NW Jack Williams Way, Jensen Beach. 

 

Treasure Coast Classical Guitar Society members Rowdy Carlton, and Jan Wissmuller will perform a program of solos and duets for the classical guitar.  The music was written by Spanish composers of the 19th and early 20th Century, and includes Fernando Sor’s great duet “Souvenir de Russie.”

 

WHEN:                 Friday, Jan. 13, 6:30 p.m.

 

WHERE:              Hoke Library, Community Room, 1150 NW Jack Williams Way, Jensen Beach

HOW:                    Limited seating. Free tickets required (limit of TWO per person, please).

Available for pickup only at the Hoke Library beginning Jan. 10.

The Treasure Coast Classical Guitar Society was formed in November 2010 as A community for classical guitar enthusiasts to promote appreciation of the classical guitar, provide opportunities for guitarists of all levels to meet and play together, and to sponsor professional concerts.” By partnering with the Martin County Library System, the guitar society hopes to spread their love of the classical guitar to the greatest number people possible on the Treasure Coast.
