Create a craft with author and artist Julia Kelly!  Following a talk on her heartwarming and colorfully illustrated  book  A Crow in Grandma’s Kitchen—based on her own experiences with her grandmother—Julia will lead a craft session making a decorated shell like the one in her book!

A Crow in Grandma’s Kitchen describes a winter day spent in a warm and cozy kitchen with Abigail Nancy, Grandma and her silly crow.  The extraordinary friendship between a little girl and a wild bird is strengthened by the understanding that it must eventually be set free.  Copies of her book will be available for sale and signing.

As a fourth generation impressionist Julia Kelly has been painting and exhibiting her work for over 35 years.  Working in both large format oils and watercolors, she captures in vibrant colors and compositions scenes from New England, Tuscany, the Caribbean and Florida.
