Season’s Readings gift book program for young readers

Won’t you join in?

WHO:               Martin County Library System Friends Groups

WHAT:           Season’s Readings

Please join the Friends of the Martin County Library System in putting a gift book into the hands of a deserving child this season. Our Season’s Readings goal is 300 books to be given to 3- to 5-year-olds enrolled in a Martin County program with the Early Learning Coalition. With your help it will be easy! Just…

  1. Visit your local library and choose a paper gingerbread person bearing a child’s first name and age. Add your name and telephone number to the list in the notebook on the circulation counter.
  1. Using our recommended book list on the counter as a guide, purchase an age appropriate, nonreligious, hardcover book from your favorite book seller.
  1. Return your gift book and gingerbread person to the library circulation desk by Thursday, December 1.

A volunteer will see that your book is presented to the child you have chosen.

Thank you for giving and spreading the joy of reading!

WHEN:           Season’s Readings begins Tuesday, November 1 and runs through Thursday, December 1.

WHERE:        All Martin County libraries.  Look for the tree with the gingerbread person ornaments!
