Ongoing acting classes continue at Blake Library
WHO: The Friends of the Blake Library in Stuart, Inc., sponsor
WHAT: The Actors Workshop
with Ralph Villani
Award-winning film and theatre director, producer and actor Ralph Villani will teach acting for stage and film using methods of Konstantin Stanislavsky, Sanford Meisner and Stella Adler on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Blake Library in Stuart.
Registration fee for each class is $15. Pre-registration is required. Restricted to age 16 and older.
The classes will cover:
1) Introduction to Acting; 2) Justification: Who, What, When, Where and Why;
3) The Repetition Exercise; 4) The Relationship; 5) The Action Exercise;
6) Understanding Independent Activity; 7) Improvisation; 8) Acting on Stage,
9) Acting for the Camera; 10) Emotional Memory; 11) Sense Memory;
12) Fantasy Memory; 13) Monologues; 14) Auditioning
Ralph Villani has taught acting for 20 years beginning in New York City. He has studied at the Tribecca Drama Institute, the New Group theatre and at Piero Dusa studio in New York. He was on the board of directors for Theatre Gym in New York City and was the artistic director for the Bravado Theatre Company. He has directed his latest film, “USS Seaviper,” produced by Villani Rockhill Productions and now in the final stages of post-production.
