WHAT:            Reflections on September 11, 2001

                Presented by Robert R. Farley

There are events we live through that we shall never forget.  Past generations remember all too well the Challenger explosion (1986), Nixon’s resignation (1974), the Kennedy assassination (1963), Sputnik launch (1957), the death of FDR (1945) and Pearl Harbor (1941).

There are days shared by every American that cause us to remember where we were, who we were with and what we were doing.  September 11, 2001 is one of those days.  Come to the Blake Library Friday, September 9 at 4:00 p.m. and share your thoughts about this day.

Professor Robert Farley of Indian River State College will moderate this presentation based on audience participation, with taped interviews/journal accounts of survivors and news film footage about the events.  World Trade Center survivor Stan Mennuto will be on hand to recount his experiences.

On the tenth anniversary of 9/11 let us all attempt to put this event into perspective as we discuss its place in history and influence on our future.
