Create your own story @ your library:

Celebrate National Library Week with the

Martin County Library System!

(STUART, FLORIDA) – April 10-16 is National Library Week, a time to celebrate the contributions of libraries, librarians and library workers in schools, campuses and communities nationwide.  First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April.

This year’s theme is “Create your own Story @ your library.”  The ALA encourages all Americans to take advantage of the free resources libraries have to offer.  Stop by a Martin County library or visit the MCLS website, http://www.library.martin.fl.us, to see the many types of information, services and programs available to you for free that can help you create your own story!  Following are some examples of what you can find:

  •  Children’s story times
  •  The award-winning Family Place program for parents/caregivers and  children 1-3 years old
  •  Homework help for teens
  •  Genealogy classes
  •  Access to technology such as eBooks, public computers, wireless network
