Brendan Nolan, Irish Folksinger


Irish folksinger Brendan Nolan will perform 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12 at the Cummings Library in Palm City.  Free tickets are required and available at the Cummings Library beginning March 8. 

This is the third program in the 2011 Elisabeth Lahti Concert Series.  The final concert, with Friends of Jazz, is scheduled April 9.

An enchanting afternoon is in store with Irish folk musician Brendan Nolan’s rich baritone voice, good humor, and masterful playing of acoustic guitar and bodhran.  The popular Irish festival headliner will sing both contemporary and traditional Celtic/Irish songs.

Born in Dublin, Brendan Nolan started his musical life as a drummer and later turned to folk and acoustic music, becoming well known in Canada and throughout the United States.  His latest solo album is “Song Brook,” featuring “Paddy McGinty’s Goat, “Nancy Spain” and “Icarus” as well as Nolan originals.
