Time” 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 29 in the Donahue Room of the

Dr. Wallace will discuss the phenomenon of the alignment of the Earth with the center of our Milky Way Galaxy, popularly referred to as the “2012,” and its many interpretations. Predicted since ancient time, this astronomical occurrence is said to culminate in December 2012. In numbers of publications and visual media presentations, questions are asked as to what this might mean for the future of mankind and the Earth—are we entering a period of expanded human awareness, or approaching Armageddon and the end of the world?
