Lee Bryan (“That Puppet Guy!”) will present “Pinocchio!” 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 4 in the John F. Armstrong Wing of the Blake Library, 2351 SE Monterey Road, Stuart.

Lee Bryan and his puppets give recycled thrift store items new life in this fantastic, frenetic retelling based on the Collodi classic text. Puppet characters are constructed from various recycled things like kitchen utensils, baskets and tennis rackets.

In addition to the found-object puppets, this original one-man “tour de farce” combines authentic Italian music, Commedia-style mask work, and plenty of audience participation!

“Pinocchio!” was produced with a grant from the Jim Henson Foundation.

Lee Bryan is a nationally recognized solo-puppeteer who combines live vocals and original music with innovative puppet designs for wholesome family fun.  Since 1991 his work has been featured in theatres, libraries, school systems and corporate events across the southeast.  Lee is known for his original stories as well as his clever adaptations of classic tales…with an educational punch!

Lee is also a two-time grant recipient from the prestigious Jim Henson Foundation, Inc.  His professional credits include feature film work with the Muppets® and an Emmy® nomination for his puppetry work for Public Broadcasting.
